Easy Loading
Get on and off the water quicker by simply removing the locking pins and sliding the rack to the side of the vehicle, lowering it slowly. Lift your kayak approximately 1 metre to the cradles and secure the boat with your two straps. Raise the rack, letting it take all the lifting strain and re-secure the locking pins. NOW RELAX!!

The Easy Load Roof Rack is designed to make the loading and securing of kayaks, canoes, bikes and ladders onto vehicle roofs much easier and safer. The Easy Load Roof Rack can be fitted to vans and cars alike. The Easy Load Roof Rack fits on to existing square or rectangular roof bars with a maximum cross section width of 37mm (standard kit) and 50mm (wide kit). This accommodates most Thule or Halfords bars. NOMAD generally recommend a maximum roof height from the ground of 2 metres but this does depend on how tall you are and what you're loading onto the Easy Load Roof Rack.
The Easy Load Roof Rack comes complete with handle bracket and full, simple fitting instructions. There are now so many types of roof bars on the market, we have separated out our fixing kits to help you order the correct kit for your particular roof bars. You will need to purchase cradles or brackets for kayaks/canoes and you can order those directly from NOMAD.
How Does It Work? To use the rack, two quick release locking pins are removed and the bars slide outwards and down the side of the vehicle where they rest without touching the vehicle where they rest without touching the vehicle.
Your kayaks, canoes, ladders etc. only need lifting around 1 metre onto the brackets where they can then be secured using the appropriate straps or clamps, at a much easier and safer height. No more trying to climb onto the vehicle roof to secure things! Once the load is secured the rack is simply raised and secured with the locking pins. And the sliding bars can be easily removed when not in use.

"A brilliant roof rack for high vehicle such as 4x4's and vans and also for carrying multiple kayaks. I used to have to use a small foot stool to get up to my J-bars & then clamber up the back of my 4x4 to secure my boats.
