Introduction to Sea Kayaking (June 2007)

"A little intimidating at first because the weather wasn't too great on the day but the kayaks we used were very stable & gave me a lot of confidence. The dunking was a bit of a shock but crucial to building self confidence and knowing that you can self rescue when its needed. The trip certainly does what it says on the tin."

"I would highly recommend Nomad to anyone who is interested in Sea Kayaking. Kurt is an excellent instructor, his attitude is thoroughly professional. The courses are run with safety as a priority but the main emphasis is on fun and enjoyment. Shortly after my Introduction to Kayaking Course I decided to buy a kayak (and the other necessary kit). Nomad supplied everything and Kurt went out of his way to arrange delivery so I could get on the water asap.Kurt's customer care and after sales service is excellent and I would have no hesitation recommending all Nomad's services to friends or work colleagues. I intend to do a lot of paddling with Nomad this coming year and I hope to go on at least one Jurassic Coast trip."

Hamford Water Seal Colony Visit (September 2007)
"A chance meeting with Kurt at Alton Water in Suffolk, led to two memorable kayaking trips at Hamford Water in Essex. From the initial safety brief through to the end of each trip, there was never any doubt of the professionalism and enthusiasm shown by Kurt. The kayaks proved to be stable and responsive in both calm and not-so-calm conditions, quickly establishing confidence on the water. There was tremendous benefit in approaching wildlife from the water with a minimal amount of noise and disturbance, resulting in good views of the local seal colony and abundant birdlife inhabiting the area. I have no hesitation in confidently recommending this trip."

"I thought the trip was great - and i really thought that the staff had made every effort to tailor the trip to our needs. Myself and my friend are both good paddlers and they let us get on with our own thing whilst giving us great tips on where to look and go. My father who was less experienced always had someone with him so he didnt feel left behind. Introduction to Sea Kayaking (October 2008)
"After first becoming interested in Sea kayaking, I contacted a few places where I could try kayaking but they didn't sound like the type of thing I was interested in. However, the 'Introduction to Sea Kayaking' with NOMAD seemed to be exactly what I wanted. I thought the amount of time spent, first looking and talking about the various kayaks followed by the section about equipment were very helpful in giving a good look at the sport overall and whats involved and not just getting on the water and trying it. I do feel I got a lot out of the day and it has definately made me want to continue."
