TWO former fleet boats NDK RM Sport sea kayaks, built for medium to large paddlers wanting a stable, capable day/weekend boat. Used 'Guide' model, Orange with Black accents (coaming, decklines, hatch covers).

Boxy rails give steady handling even when conditions turn. The flat hull surfs well and holds a line in following seas.

Fit: 5'5" (165cm) to 6'4" (193cm), 85–110kg.

NOMAD guides and coaches use the Sport RM most days of the year, so we know these boats well. Plenty of room for large feet. Neoprene and Aquatherm spraydecks hold well on the fibreglass cockpit rim (spraydecks not included) — avoid canvas spraydecks, they don't hold as well. Knee braces and the front of the cockpit coaming are foam-finished for comfort and to stop shin scratches when getting into the keyhole cockpit.

Fitted with a glass seat with extra legroom from a raised area either side of the cockpit. Seat can be set higher for a smaller paddler; the raised front deck area can be padded if needed.

Low rear deck for easy rolling. Keyhole cockpit for grip, control and quick exit. Foam pillar behind the seat gives back support, and with the bulkhead close behind, the boat can be emptied by lifting the bow alone — no X-rescue needed.

Both kayaks are fitted with a wire skeg (left-side slider) and footpegs.

Base price £999, less £40 for a skeg that works but is due some maintenance. Footpegs fine.
