WHAT HAPPENS

We launch from Pin Mill at 8:30pm, before sunset, and paddle the quiet, wooded stretch of the Orwell as the light changes. As the sun drops behind the Orwell Bridge, the moon rises and we continue by moonlight and red head torch, back ashore by 11:30pm. The route and timing are planned around the tide, so we paddle the calmest water of the evening. Expect herons, egrets and sometimes seals around the moorings.

WHO IT IS FOR

Paddlers who have completed Learn to Kayak in a Day or a later NOMAD course. You need to be comfortable in your own kayak and able to recover from a capsize with help. If you are not sure you are ready, call us during business hours on 01473 375 026.

Good to know
What if the weather is bad?

Your safety comes first. If wind, tide or sea conditions make it unsafe, we move you to the next available date. If you can't make that one, we offer the following date. If neither works, you receive a credit valid for 12 months from the second offered date. Where available, the Weather Flex add-on gives you extra date choices.

Can I cancel or change?

Yes. Cancel within 14 days of booking (before your course starts) for a full refund. After that, we can usually move you to another date, give you a 12-month credit or let someone else take your place.

I loved it! I was taken completely out of my comfort zone of rivers & a lake - The scenery was beautiful, the water was smooth as a mirror (I was assured that we were very lucky) & even though it was a Christmas present I think whatever was paid was well worth the money. I did get a little tired paddling back to the marina at the end but I would imagine most do. Book it, if you don't you will regret it.

It was a lovely evening Carol, thank you for joining us.
