Weekend Sea Kayaking & Wild Camping Adventure

Your final opportunity to experience this guided Suffolk coast kayaking & wild camping adventure after 21 years

Most weekends disappear into routine. This one will stay with you.

Join NOMAD Sea Kayaking for the final Weekend Sea Kayaking & Wild Camping Adventure, a professionally guided two-day sea kayaking and wild camping experience on the beautiful Suffolk coast.

Leave behind the noise, traffic, screens and pressure of everyday life. Spend two days exploring the coast by kayak, camp overnight on a secluded beach, enjoy time around an open fire, and sleep beneath the stars.

After more than 21 years of guiding these adventures, this will be the final weekend sea kayaking and wild camping trip that NOMAD will ever run.

Once the final places are booked, this experience will not be repeated.

Escape the Everyday & Experience the Suffolk Coast by Kayak

You do not need another ordinary weekend.

You need space, fresh air, movement, adventure and time outdoors doing something memorable.

This guided sea kayaking and wild camping weekend gives you the chance to step away from normal life and experience the coast from a completely different perspective.

Over two days, you will paddle along one of Britain’s most beautiful stretches of coastline, develop your confidence on the water, enjoy simple outdoor living, and experience the rare privilege of wild beach camping on the Suffolk coast.

Whether you are new to kayaking or already have paddling experience, this weekend is designed to help you feel supported, safe and more confident.

You will return with lasting memories, greater confidence and the satisfaction of having completed a real coastal adventure.

Why This Weekend Adventure Is Different

This is not just a guided kayaking trip.

It is a complete sea kayaking and wild camping experience, shaped by more than two decades of professional guiding.

With NOMAD, you are not simply following a route. You are being guided through a carefully planned coastal adventure by experienced sea kayak leaders who understand the tides, weather, coastline, equipment, safety and environmental responsibilities involved.

During the weekend, you will enjoy:

  • Two days of professionally guided sea kayaking on the Suffolk coast.
  • One night of responsible wild beach camping.
  • A small, friendly group with individual support.
  • A choice of stable sit-on-top kayaks, touring kayaks or sea kayaks.
  • Paddle, buoyancy aid and spraydeck where appropriate.
  • Expert coaching to help build your confidence on the water.
  • Coastal scenery, wildlife and open space.
  • Traditional wood campfire time on the beach.
  • Clear pre-trip advice so you know exactly what to bring.
  • Transparent pricing with no hidden equipment costs.

This is a rare opportunity to experience a genuine coastal adventure without needing to own specialist equipment or plan the logistics yourself.

NOMAD Is Your Guide

You are the one having the adventure.

Our role is to make it safe, achievable, enjoyable and memorable.

For more than 21 years, NOMAD Sea Kayaking has guided paddlers on coastal kayaking adventures in the UK and overseas. You will be supported by experienced professional guides who know how to help people enjoy the sea with confidence.

Your guides are:

  • British Canoeing qualified.
  • ISKGA trained.
  • Full-time professional sea kayak guides.
  • Experienced expedition leaders.
  • Skilled at supporting mixed-ability groups.
  • Committed to responsible, low-impact outdoor adventure.

This matters because sea kayaking and wild camping are not just about turning up and hoping for the best.

The right guide, planning and equipment make the difference between a stressful trip and a memorable adventure.

Build Confidence While Having an Adventure

Many people want to try sea kayaking or wild camping, but never book because they are unsure whether they have the skill, equipment or confidence.

That is exactly why this weekend has been designed as a guided experience.

You will be supported throughout the trip and will naturally develop useful outdoor skills as part of the adventure.

You will learn and practise:

  • Efficient paddling techniques.
  • Coastal safety awareness.
  • Basic journey planning.
  • Equipment selection and use.
  • Expedition-style packing.
  • Campcraft and responsible wild camping.
  • Environmental awareness.
  • Low-impact travel along the coast.

You are not just buying a weekend away.

You are investing in confidence, outdoor skills and an experience you will remember for years.

Suitable for Most Adventurous Beginners

You do not need to be an expert kayaker to take part.

This guided weekend sea kayaking and wild camping adventure is suitable for most people with:

  • A reasonable level of fitness.
  • A positive attitude to outdoor activity.
  • A willingness to follow safety guidance.
  • A love of the coast, nature and adventure.

All abilities are welcome, provided you are comfortable with physical activity and spending time outdoors.

Whether this is your first kayaking adventure or you already paddle, our guides will help you feel supported and confident throughout the weekend.

A Low-Impact Coastal Adventure

Sea kayaking is one of the most environmentally responsible ways to explore the coastline.

You travel quietly, slowly and under your own power, minimising disturbance to wildlife and the surrounding environment.

This adventure offers:

  • No engine noise.
  • No fuel pollution.
  • Minimal environmental impact.
  • Quiet coastal exploration.
  • Responsible wildlife awareness.
  • Respectful wild camping practice.
  • A Wildlife Interaction Policy to protect birds, seals and marine life.

Experience nature without overwhelming it.

This is slow adventure at its best.

Good for Body, Mind & Soul

Time outdoors has a way of cutting through the clutter.

Over one memorable weekend, you will experience:

  • Fresh sea air.
  • Physical activity.
  • Open coastal views.
  • Time away from screens.
  • Simpler living.
  • Space to think.
  • A small group of like-minded people.
  • An evening around the fire.
  • A night beneath open skies.

You will leave tired in the right way: clearer, calmer, stronger and more connected to the natural world.

You will leave with:

  • Greater confidence on the water.
  • A powerful memory of wild camping on the Suffolk coast.
  • Practical sea kayaking and outdoor skills.

It stands out.

Why You Should Book Now

This is the part you should not ignore.

After more than 21 years of leading these adventures, NOMAD Sea Kayaking is bringing the Weekend Sea Kayaking & Wild Camping Adventure to an end.

There will be:

  • No future season.
  • No repeat weekend.
  • No extra dates once the final places are gone.

Wild camping opportunities on the Suffolk coast are highly seasonal, tide-dependent and limited by group size. To protect the quality of the experience and minimise environmental impact, places are deliberately restricted.

When the final spaces are booked, this adventure closes permanently.

If this is something you have always wanted to do, this is the time to act.

Had a very enjoyable time on wild camp and kayaking weekend, was a great adventure. The whole trip was perfectly organised. The guides were helpful and friendly. We will be back next year for more trips and training. Strongly recommend.

Thank you, Matt, it'll be a pleasure to welcome you both again.

Kit provided was excellent. The sit on kayak is really stable for beginners. The group was mixed in ability & we were the only sea kayaking beginners but everyone was friendly, helpful & inclusive. The distance paddled was appropriate for us & we managed to launch & land on a variety of beaches, so lots of additional experiences in handling the kayak were gained. The camping was fun & a communal fire with s'mores was great. The trip back on the Sunday was quite exhausting due to a stronger than expected cross/head wind resulting in a lot of three strokes forward and two drifting back (mental strength required here), but the more experienced in the group were extremely supportive & helped us all the way. Great weekend.

Thanks for your comments Suzanne, it was great to meet you both & your excitement was infectious.

A soul soothing chance to unplug from real life for a couple of days, and all without needing a day off from work. Seasoned sea kayakers may not find it challenging enough, but for those who were a bit rusty (me!) there was just enough paddling & stops, with free time for practising skills, swimming, walking & lazing on the beach, all of which I enjoyed. It helped that the weather was beautiful with blue skies & warm seas; I will come again.

Thanks for joining us Tara, we look forward to welcoming you again soon.
