Our top of the range, full carbon fibre paddle. The unique crankshaft protects paddlers from repetitive strain in the wrists and is very effective, having proven itself over many years. All black Full Carbon Fibre blades with the unique Baby Kraken motif in orange on the back of the blade. Pops! This is  crankshaft version.

The 205cm shaft is full carbon fibre and the Curve Locke lever system adjusts the feather from 0-90 degrees angle dependant on the strength & direction of the wind. The simple one finger system allows easy adjustment on the water, even in rough sea conditions. It also adds up to 10 centimetres in the length of the paddle, perfect for long distance paddles in a straight line. Most sea kayakers will paddle around 210-215 centimetres for comfortable trunk rotation, particularly in bumpier sea conditions.

The Curve Locke has been developed over twelve years for the surfski market where paddling in very dynamic environments sometimes resulted in injuries to hands cut on aluminium leverlcoks. Our Curve Locke system has weathered the test of time in the demanding sea surf conditions of the Indian Ocean. The orange lever is made of Nylon 6 which is flexible & doesn't wear or break easily. The flex on the little lever provides some give when opening & adjusting quickly. Its also designed flat so it fits snugly into the shallow recess to prevent injuries.

The body is a percentage combination of Nylon 6 & glass fibre reinforced plastic, stiffer and stronger with a strong clamp that doesn't fail.

The blade is the Kinetic shape offering solid bite without flutter and a good surface area for distance and rough water paddling. Reinforced joints ensure confidence in surf and rolling and the shaft offers stiffness with right and left handed options. All black and crankshaft.

NOTE: Celtic paddles are unable to manufacture any crankshaft paddles at the moment. And competing manufacturers equivalent specifications are at least £150 more expensive!
