Crisis....What Crisis!?

Our beloved media continue to blast the airwaves with an onslaught of negative stories in their never ending desperation to sell their rags. As we know, through hard experience, this becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. The more we talk up negativity, the more of a reality it becomes. Of course, we have noticed the price increases almost across the board; from alcohol to basic foods, clothing and utilities as well as the huge hike in fuel prices worldwide.

However, and here's the rub, fuel prices fell by nearly 12 pence a litre in May and continues to fall. And inflation is set to drop steadily over the next year. Let's face it, the United Kingdom remains one of the richest countries with more billionaires than any other country in the world. Only look about you when next you’re driving and notice the abundance of expensive hardware drifting past, not to mention the jam packed supermarkets on a Saturday morning, filled with shoppers spending hundreds of pounds of which we'll waste an estimated one third in discarded food.

But even for those of us on tight budgets, there is always a bargain to be had, you just have to look around and do a bit of research. For example, 20% discounts on train fares, super discounts on all sorts of food items and up to 25% discounts on some takeaways. Yes, this is the perfect time to take advantage of those bargain offers that are never there in the so-called good times.

Not to fall short, NOMAD Sea Kayaking is offering COUPLE and GROUP discounts on virtually all of our trips and courses across our website, with discounts from 5% to as high as 29%!

And, never a business to not step up to demand, guests can now paddle for as little as just £9.99 per person (including your kayak, paddle and buoyancy aid)! Now that's a bargain and a great opportunity to finally have a go at  something you've always wanted to try!

There's no disputing that times are harder but let's be honest, we are blessed as a people. We have shelter, security, food and (for the most part) love in our lives. Are we not incredibly fortunate, particularly when we see so much suffering just across the pond in Europe.

So let's put our lives and circumstances into perspective and get out and enjoy the gifts that are offered to us. Life is so very short and very soon, we'll be of an age where we are unable to get out of a chair let alone get on to a kayak!

A small, long established business like ours needs your support. Without it, we will cease to exist and you won't have local and convenient access to a unique sport that offers a peace, tranquility & exercise at the same time whilst guaranteeing your safety AND SAVING you a big chunk of money too!

We look forward to seeing you on the water soon.

Since surfing with the pros as a kid in Durban South Africa on my hollow 12ft barge & getting absolutely trashed, I was hooked on sea paddling. Over a period of forty-two years I’ve surfed, white watered & sea kayaked in locations around the world. I've guided as a full-time professional for the past nineteen years & my journey continues.
